January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Each year millions of people are trafficked worldwide. Human trafficking has become the most common form of modern slavery. Soroptimist International recognizes the gravity of this crime and calls for global action to combat this abhorrent violation of human rights. Soroptimists work to drastically improve the conditions of trafficked women and girls and help them to find protection.

You can help us to bring awareness to this issue!

We’re starting at the Lemon Grove Recreation Center and walking about a mile around the school and local neighborhood. We’ll end back at the Recreation Center, where we will hear from survivors as well as inspirational speakers on the issue.
