Dear friends and members of the Spring Valley Lemon Grove Democratic Club,
During our October 10, 2018 meeting We will be considering endorsements for Lemon Grove School Board and Lemon Grove City Council, At our last meeting on September 12, we heard from Angeles Nelson, a candidate for the Lemon Grove School Board and Kamaal Martin, a candidate for the Lemon Grove City Council. They are both asking for our endorsement. Angeles is running as a Democrat and Kamaal as an independent. The board is suggesting that the club endorse Angeles and find Kamaal acceptable.
Please note that there are three Democrats and two Republicans running for three open seats on the Lemon Grove School Board. Tim Shaw is an incumbent and has already been endorsed by the Democratic Party. He was at our last meeting as well. There is one Democrat, two Republicans and an Independent running for two open seats on the Lemon Grove City Council. Jennifer Mendoza is an incumbent and has already been endorsed by the Democratic Party.
Our location is Monte Vista Village, 2211 Massachusetts Ave, Lemon Grove, CA 91945. We will be meeting in the Dining Hall, which is near the long driveway you can see from Massachusetts Ave. You can park in the driveway or on the street.
