| Hi Fellow Democrats!
It’s finally here! Join us at 1PM for a wonderful gathering to celebrate our successes. Feel free to bring friends or family and join us for our annual holiday potluck. We have a rough road ahead, so let’s join in celebration and a little bit of relaxation, as we gear up for the new year and the new fights ahead of us.
Club President Cynthia Jurado, Secretary Rev. Danny Brunner, and Communications Director Cheryl Robertson are putting together a Taco Bar for our Annual Holiday Potluck. Plates and utensils are covered, and there will be a good selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, so bring your favorite dish to share with everyone and get excited to enjoy our festive afternoon together! |

| Don’t forget we had some homework for our January meeting. Please try to bring an idea or two to engage with our communities both personally and as a club.
In solidarity,
Spring Valley Lemon Grove Democratic Club |
| Looking forward to January, we will be electing a new board. Please consider stepping up and taking on a leadership role. In 2025 we can expect a lot of protest and plenty of opportunities to speak up and out as we fight back against the Trump administration and their most damaging policies.
We are a smaller club and have often had to combine roles to meet the needs of the club in the past, but we would love to have a full a board, so consider getting involved! We have one club meeting and one board meeting a month.
If you are interested in taking on a leadership roll in the club, please fill out the form below. Providing the information does not commit you to the responsibility, but it allows us to reach out with more information regarding the work of the club and the executive board election process. |
| Additionally, as we move into January, club dues are due. Dues are $25 a year, contribute to club operational costs and help with efforts to elect amazing democratic candidates to represent us in Spring Valley and Lemon Grove. We understand the holiday’s can be expensive, so it is absolutely fine to wait until January to pay, but we wanted to get a head start on notifications and allow people the opportunity to plan ahead. |
There is still an Ongoing Migrant Crisis
|
| The current migrant crisis at our San Diego/Mexico Border is bleak and dire. Our San Diego County Board of Supervisors have allocated funds to address this crisis, but money is about to run out.
Congress must provide Federal Relief to help us address this problem. Tell your representatives to provide relief by providing the basic needs for these refugees to survive and to fully fund the ongoing efforts at the border. |
| The slideshow presented at the meeting is available using the button below. It contains resources and ways to get involved, some of which are included below. You may also call Krystal @ (858)382-2109. |
Here’s What Else is Coming Up!
|
| Check out our club calendar for the latest club events, community events, food distributions, and opportunities for civic engagement. You can even add it to your own calendar so you don’t miss out on anything in our community. |
| Have an event you feel should be on this list? Reply to this email with the information and we’ll get it added to the calendar! |
