Hi Fellow Democrats,

With the election just around the corner, there is so much going on.

Please join us Wednesday, October 9th, at 6:00 p.m. at Sun Garden Terrace Assisted Living, 2045 Skyline Dr, Lemon Grove, CA 91945.

We will have a group-led discussion on the Ballot Propositions on our November ballots. There are a lot of them, so let’s get ourselves informed!

Meeting time will be pretty full, but we will have some of our local endorsed candidates for Lemon Grove City Council and Helix Water District present. Bring your questions. You will have the opportunity to talk to them directly after the meeting.

We still have a lot of work to do in many of our local races. If you are able, please join our outreach efforts in support of our endorsed candidates. We can’t afford to lose ground in any of our communities.

Don’t worry if you have never volunteered for a campaign before. We will train you and assign you a seasoned partner.

There is still an Ongoing Migrant Crisis

The current migrant crisis at our San Diego/Mexico Border is bleak and dire. Our San Diego County Board of Supervisors have allocated funds to address this crisis, but money is about to run out.

Congress must provide Federal Relief to help us address this problem. Tell your representatives to provide relief by providing the basic needs for these refugees to survive and to fully fund the ongoing efforts at the border.

The City of Lemon Grove hosts a monthly food distribution along with several partnering organizations.
