Phone Banking for Monica!
|
Please excuse the lengthy email. We have a lot of information to share.
|
| Hi Fellow Democrats!
Tonight would normally be our regularly scheduled monthly meeting, but for this month, we are changing things up a bit.
Right now we have the crucial Special Election for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors race and election day is fast approaching.
So this month, instead of our regularly scheduled meeting, we will be hosting a Zoom Phone Bank from 6:30 to 8:30. If you have never done phone banking before, don’t worry. We are prepared to train you and it is easy. You will be calling people who are already likely voters, making sure they know there is a special election, and that they know how to vote.
Phone Bank on 10/11/23:
6:30pm – 8:30pm
Join here and we will get you all set up to make some calls:

Have friends that are eager to make positive change? Bring them!

Sunshine and Sangria Fundraiser
|
| We are finally ready to hold our Sunshine and Sangria Fundraiser! We have had many hiccups with planning this event this year and we apologize for all of the date changes. We will be holding our Founder’s Birthday Fundraiser on Sunday, October 22nd, in Club President Cynthia Jurado’s backyard. If you have not yet purchased tickets, you may do so at the button below. |
| Friendly reminder, all first time attendees (or if you’ve been coming, but have not yet joined) will receive 1 year of membership with their ticket purchase. |

| Can you help Get Out the Vote for Monica?
This special election is crucial. If we don’t win, the County Board of Supervisors will no longer hold a Democratic majority.
If you are willing to help with phone banking, text banking, or canvassing, here’s what club members are doing to help.
For those that are able, we are asking for you to canvass your precinct. If you are unable to canvass, please consider phone banking with us. We are meeting at Club President Cynthia’s house every Sunday at 1pm from now through election day. Some go off and canvass alone or in pairs, others hang back and phone bank. In all cases, it is quite a bit of fun.
If you are unable to meet on Sunday afternoons, reach out and we will get you connected with the campaign for other canvassing and phone banking events. |

The forum will be held at Cuyamaca College and we are worried there will be a strong presence of far right and/or outright hateful individuals. Please consider coming out to show your support for Monica Montgomery-Steppe.
The flyer for the event is below, but here is the information:
