Hi Fellow Democrats!

Our club will be hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, September 10th at 2pm. Food and beverages will be provided and all proceeds will support local democratic candidates and/or causes in Spring Valley and Lemon Grove.

If you have been getting our emails and have considered coming out to meet us, now is the time to do it! Several of our local elected officials will be in attendance and you will have the opportunity to meet them in person.

In addition, as an added incentive to those who have been on the fence about coming out to meet us, we are offering to cover your first year’s membership dues with your event registration. This means you will officially be a club member and enjoy the benefits that go along with it! You will have a say in club business and get to vote in all of our endorsement meetings leading up to the 2024 election! So bring out your friends and neighbors and let’s raise some money to continue making the positive change we all so desperately want to see!

Spring Valley Lemon Grove Democratic Club

Earlier this week, our community had two very exciting events in Lemon Grove.

On Tuesday, the Lemon Grove School District broke ground on an Early Childhood Education Center that will provide education to our local Pre-school Students, as well as our Transitional Kindergarten Students. This facility will provide incredible early learning opportunities to our children through Play and Nature Based Learning. This is great news for children and families in both Lemon Grove and Spring Valley!

Then on Wednesday, Lemon Grove City Council and the Lemon Grove School Board held their annual joint meeting. Topics included Pickleball in Lemon Grove and how we can support this growing activity, as well as 2 future ideas for our community. The joint bodies discussed the idea of workforce housing in Lemon Grove and creating space for adult learning through a college presence here in Lemon Grove. Both new ideas are in the very early stages of thinking, but if we move forward, it offers incredible opportunity for our community.

We are excited to see the development of these ideas as they move forward.

On Wednesday, September 13th, we will be hosting our regular monthly meeting. We will be discussing the coordinated attacks on our public education system through political extremism, and how the GOP is using this movement to further their agenda.

Community Food Distributions

The City of Lemon Grove hosts a monthly food distribution along with several partnering organizations.
