Check out what’s coming up!

From local Earth Day Celebrations to a statewide Democratic Convention, check out what’s coming up!

Hey Fellow Democrats!

We just wanted to take a quick minute to reach out with a followup on our last meeting and some information on a few upcoming events. There is quite a bit of information here, so please bare with us.

First, if you were unable to attend our last in-person meeting at The Hamlett, don’t fret. We did a trial run of a hybrid meeting, and we were able to successfully live stream and record the meeting. We still have a few sound quality kinks to work out, but we plan to offer hybrid going forward. In the meantime, please check out the feed to our last meeting below.

More information will follow on our May 10th meeting. The topic will be the importance of mental health.

Coming Up!

This weekend there are several Earth Day Celebrations. We have attached fliers for the events in La Mesa and Balboa Park. Both are on Saturday, April 22nd.

Next weekend, Saturday, April 29th is Spring Valley Day. We have attached the flier for that as well.

Also on Saturday, April 29, the Progressive Labor Alliance is sponsoring a Progressive Labor Summit. Admission is $35, but scholarships are available with a simple email. More information is available at the link below.

This weekend, on Saturday, April 22nd, the San Diego County Democratic Party will be holding their Annual Roosevelt Dinner. This is the San Diego County Democratic Party’s biggest fundraising event of the year and will be featuring Representative Katie Porter, who is running for US Senate here in California. More information is available at the link below and the flyer is also attached.

And finally, this May, the California Democratic Party is holding its reorganizing convention from May 25th to 28th in Los Angeles. This year’s key note is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. You can find more information here.
CADEM Convention
If you voted in the ADEM election this past January, these were the results. Those in green are our representatives and they will be representing us at the convention.
Whew! That was a lot, but I hope you hung in there with us. Hopefully we’ll be seeing you at one or more of these upcoming events.

In solidarity,

Spring Valley Lemon Grove Democratic Club
